The Religion of Peace - Liverpool Division

You who believe, intoxicants and gambling, idolatrous practices, and divining arrows are repugnant acts—Satan’s doing: shun them so that you may prosper. Q5:90

Some misguided sorts are allegedly not content to simply "shun" "intoxicants" (in this case: hooch) themselves but take things to the point of murder when others don't.
If only they would follow the example of prophet Mo, who as we all know was gentle and peace-loving to a fault (I suspect he was a huge influence on Gandhi) and never ever would use violence to spread his beliefs.

"Somali youth was killed 'in row over alcohol and Islam'

A gang of five men beat a Somali teenager to death because of a row over Muslims drinking alcohol, a court heard today.

Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim, 17, was repeatedly hit across the head with a samurai sword, baseball bat, machete and metal pole after being chased in Sefton Park, Liverpool, in March this year.

The teenager became embroiled in the fight after accompanying his cousin, Ahmed Mahamoud Ahmed, 16, to a "straightener" – a one-on-one fight – with the alleged killer Ali Mohammed, 19.

Liverpool crown court heard how Mohammed is believed to have accused Ahmed of breaking Muslim rules by drinking alcohol and held him down while a friend hit his head with a bat. ..."

This does of course, raise the question of why didn't they just haul the late Ahmed to one of the UK's shiny new Sharia courts and have him stoned to death or whatever?
Maybe they don't pay attention to current events, what with trying to live in the 7th century and all ... that would be ironic, no?

"A British subject who converted to Christianity from Islam and then complained to police when locals threatened to burn his house down was told by officers to “stop being a crusader”, according to a new report.

Nissar Hussein, 43, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, who was born and raised in Britain, converted from Islam to Christianity with his wife, Qubra, in 1996. The report says that he was subjected to a number of attacks and, after being told that his house would be burnt down if he did not repent and return to Islam, reported the threat to the police. It says he was told that such threats were rarely carried out and the police officer told him to “stop being a crusader and move to another place”. A few days later the unoccupied house next door was set on fire.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide, a British human rights organisation whose president is the former Cabinet minister Jonathan Aitken, is calling on the UN and the international community to take action against nations and communities that punish apostasy.

Its report, No Place to Call Home, claims that apostates from Islam are subject to “gross and wideranging human rights abuses”. It adds that in countries such as Britain, with large Muslim populations in a Westernised culture, the demand to maintain a Muslim identity is intense. “When identities are precarious, their enforcement will take an aggressive form.” "

Just makes you want to break into a rousing chorus of Kumbaya, doesn't it? Note the reaction of the cop who told this poor guy to move somewhere else and "quite being a crusader". I don't suppose that cop is a Muslim. No, no, not in Bradford. Sure, just about everyone there is a Muslim, but that wouldn't include this cop.
And note that the usefully idiotic dhimmis at the Times feels they must write that CSW "claims" apostates from Islam are "subject to “gross and wideranging human rights abuses”", not the neutral "says". And of course the " "s around "bullied" in the headline.
