Guns, Guns, Guns

Steve Lee rocks.

Meanwhile, over at Don B. Kates and Prof. Carlyle Moody explain that its okay to like guns; guns are very likable when one gets to know them. For example:

Afghan Democracy Update

Afghanistan should have been nuked pt MCXXXVIII

"KABUL, Afghanistan — The Taliban on Sunday ordered their first public executions by stoning since their fall from power nine years ago, killing a young couple who had eloped, according to Afghan officials and a witness. ...

Mr. Khan estimated that about 200 villagers participated in the executions, including Khayyam’s father and brother, and Siddiqa’s brother, as well as other relatives ...

“People were very happy seeing this,” Mr. Khan maintained, saying the crowd was festive and cheered during the stoning. ..."

Always remember, folks, NATO troops are dying and your taxes are paying to bring the light of civilization to the Afs, a fool's errand since Alexander.

Its That Pakistan, Right?

There's only the one, isn't there?

That would be the Pakistan which is "supporting the Taliban with training, cash and sanctuary".

That would be the Pakistan where 9/11 was celebrated in the streets.

That Pakistan.

So far, Fearless Leader Harpo has pledged 31 million of our dollars to people who are helping kill NATO soldiers in Afghastlystan. Taliban Jack and Count Iggy Wormtongue don't figure that's enuff even.
Even by canerdian standards, this is either epic dhimmitude, epic stupidity or a special blend of both.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's high commissioner wants everyone to forget about the Taliban and buy into the "Moderate Muslims" BS.
"He also said the government of Pakistan is "fully focused and able to reach out to its own people."

Good, let the government of Pakistan "reach out" and take care of its own.
The rest of us can reach out to the PMO

and tell them to let Pakistan know the check is in the mail.

Oh, the Tolerance, the Acceptance!

I have a feeling someone is going to get their ass handed to them.

The redoubtable Alex G Tsakumis, who, unlike the complicit buggy-whip media, provided his readers with full, unflinching coverage of, and courageous commentary on, the public obscenity known as the Vancouver Pride Parade reports he has received "two very threatening emails from someone commenting on the ‘Pride Parade’ post (he) did last week." "This particular person has made statements about me that are entirely manufactured to injure", Tsakumis writes, "and then followed up with significant threats." He has, naturally, contacted police.

Your correspondent, while disgusted of course, cannot feign surprise I'm afraid. This is just the latest example of words like "tolerance" and "acceptance" (big, big buzzwords of Vancouver "Pride") being mouthed by people who, at the slightest resistance to their agenda, reveal themselves as far from tolerant and accepting, even of people who object to adults simulating group sex acts and wandering about naked in public streets in front of children.

Whether its baying mobs of "students" chasing libertarian and conservative speakers from university campuses, or this sort of thing, whenever the smiley-face mask slips a bit and the true face of what Kathy Shaidle has so rightly dubbed the Tyranny of Nice is revealed, it truly is very, very ugly indeed.

Oh, and don't forget the sponsors of this sickening public display.

BS and Lavender

When the government runs the schools ... they purvey propaganda packaged in urban mythology.
This example, taxpayer-funded of course, adorns the grounds of Burnaby Mountain Secondary School.

Another One Bites The Dust

Wilbert "Peaches" Bartley's criminal career is finally over

This charming piece of work will rob no more, not, of course, through any actions of Canerduh's "justice" system but because he pushed his luck too far and got his head blown off by cops.

Removing the running sore of Bartley's existence from society has naturally been met with weeping and gnashing of teeth in the sunset media, who've never met a criminal they didn't excuse as the victim of something or other.

The Province, for example, had to tag their bit of drivel with the sub-head "Was turning life around, says mother". At 50? With a record as long as your arm? Right.

Actually, this prize of a mother's comments are all too revealing of where something like "Peaches" originates.

"“My son might have been in a lot of trouble but, damn it, he had to be. He had no way of living,” she said, adding that Bartley did not have a job and suffered neck and head problems from a decade-old brawl."

Of course, what else would a mother advise? Can't work? You'd better steal, Son. See about peddling some crack and some meth too.

"Between tears, Catherine (notice the first name treatment) shared a piece of advice she had given Bartley, worried about the son who already had too many brushes with police."

"Brushes with police"? Oh, please.

But anyway, did Mum plead with Peaches to go straight?

"“I told him never to run because they’ll kill him,” she said."

Mother of the Year candidate, n'est pas?

As I've mentioned before, I've not noticed any shortage of assholes, imported (Peaches was from Upper Canerduh) or otherwise. If his fate deters just one of them from victimizing someone, Peaches will prove more use dead than he ever was alive.
