Celebrate Diversity! Christy's Punjabi Pandering Goes Sideways

Outgoing Premier Hockey Mom is assuring anyone who'll listen she's "shocked" that Jaspal Singh Atwal, a Sikh "warrior" (not unlike those brave warriors who blew up Air India Flight 182, one supposes) with attempted murder on his rap sheet, was an honored, invited guest at the Budget Speech last week.

Christy of course is a Paul Martin Fed Fiberal, whose ties to such charming groups as the Tamil Tigers have been well documented. In short, they'll do a deal with any devil for a vote or two.

Nice try, Christy, but that brown stuff on your shoe really doesn't smell like chocolate ice cream from here.

And in case you've missed it, the documents Global's Marisa Thomas refers to in the clip, which contradict Christy's version of her role in the sale of BC Rail, are laid out at the blog of the courageous Alex G . Tsakumis, who is doing the vital but dangerous (gets you threatened, makes you unpopular) work the sunset media don't have the sack for.

Methinks She Doth Protesteth Too Much

Former Gordie Campbell Cabinet Minister, liberal party du canerduh apparatchik, and erstwhile CKNW show host Christy Clark seems more and more desperate to avoid a full public inquiry into the sale of BC Rail, the stench from which rivals the raw sewage Victoria dumps into the saltchuck. BC Rail was of course, sold off (like so much of BC) by Gordie and his crew, during Christy's time aboard.
In the unlikely event you're beginning to suspect Christy's leveling with us on all this, then you clearly haven't been following the Basi Files series on the (highly recommended) blog of the courageous Alex G. Read it all and then start demanding a full public inquiry; hell, let's get out and march in the streets.

Oh, the Tolerance, the Acceptance!

I have a feeling someone is going to get their ass handed to them.

The redoubtable Alex G Tsakumis, who, unlike the complicit buggy-whip media, provided his readers with full, unflinching coverage of, and courageous commentary on, the public obscenity known as the Vancouver Pride Parade reports he has received "two very threatening emails from someone commenting on the ‘Pride Parade’ post (he) did last week." "This particular person has made statements about me that are entirely manufactured to injure", Tsakumis writes, "and then followed up with significant threats." He has, naturally, contacted police.


Your correspondent, while disgusted of course, cannot feign surprise I'm afraid. This is just the latest example of words like "tolerance" and "acceptance" (big, big buzzwords of Vancouver "Pride") being mouthed by people who, at the slightest resistance to their agenda, reveal themselves as far from tolerant and accepting, even of people who object to adults simulating group sex acts and wandering about naked in public streets in front of children.

Whether its baying mobs of "students" chasing libertarian and conservative speakers from university campuses, or this sort of thing, whenever the smiley-face mask slips a bit and the true face of what Kathy Shaidle has so rightly dubbed the Tyranny of Nice is revealed, it truly is very, very ugly indeed.
