Spawners Returning to Stoney Creek
For forty years, thanks to the Brunette River's status as an industrial sewer, the salmon runs in the River and its tributaries died out. Now the fish are back, thanks to a terrific, determined community effort and many dedicated volunteers. Special mentions to Sapperton Fish and Game Club and Stoney Creek Environment Committee. Sometimes there's some good news in the enviro file.
